Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a treatment performed exclusively by medical personnel. It consists of administering medical carbon dioxide (CO2) through microinjections under the skin, or into the dermis for therapeutic purposes.

Scientific studies have shown that carboxytherapy acts positively on:

• microcirculation: it stimulates vessel motility and consequently blood flows more easily, improving circulation and venous and lymphatic drainage
• adipose tissue: breaks down the membranes of fat cells resulting in a lipolytic and lipoclasic effect without damaging surrounding tissues, vessels and nerve structures; it is also effective against localized adiposity
• lymphatic system: facilitates the disposal of toxins and fluid stagnation by eliminating swelling

Carboxytherapy is a safe treatment with an analgesic effect, as it inhibits trigger points and cytokines. Carbon dioxide is a nontoxic gas produced by our body that, once absorbed by the blood, is eliminated by the respiratory route.
